Student engineering competitions

Competitions & awards

National competitions in India and Microsoft’s international Imagine Cup—early prototypes in sensing and diagnostics.

National Competition Award

Aavishkar — National Competition (MIT Manipal)

Won second prize at Aavishkar, a national engineering competition hosted by Manipal Institute of Technology, with teams from engineering colleges across India. Designed and built a doubly-leaf bascule mechanism bridge for the challenge.

National Competition Research

Intel India Embedded Challenge — Finalist (Little Doc)

Built “Little Doc,” an embedded medical diagnostic prototype: automated blood-smear imaging, differential leukocyte analysis, and provisional diagnosis workflow — selected among top teams nationally by Intel India.

International Competition

Microsoft Imagine Cup — International semi-finalist

Advanced to the semi-final stage in Microsoft’s international student technology competition.

Chapter 02 2011–2019

Honeywell research & AlarmNet 360

Research & product delivery

Research scientist work, EU WiBRATE collaboration, and connected-building analytics—including a New Product of the Year honor for AlarmNet 360.

Honeywell — Research Scientist

Joined Honeywell as Research Scientist, developing security log anomaly detection (later US9661010B2) and predictive HVAC occupancy optimization.

International Research

Honeywell — WiBRATE wireless vibration research

Contributed to WiBRATE (FP7 grant 289041, Sep 2011–Feb 2015), an EU collaborative research project on wireless, self-powered vibration monitoring and control for complex industrial systems—intelligent sensor-actuator networks for condition-based maintenance across automotive, aerospace, and railway case studies. Early foundation for later industrial reliability and APM work.

Honeywell AlarmNet 360 — Analytics platform

As Technology Lead, delivered the Alarmnet360 Analytics Dashboard in 90 days and migrated Niagara Analytics to Niagara 4 for fault detection and diagnostics at scale; prototyped HoloLens and Alexa integrations for building control.

AlarmNet 360 — Security Products New Product of the Year

Honeywell AlarmNet 360 won the Security Products 2016 New Product of the Year Award (Cloud Solutions and Services)—a juried contest by Security Products magazine and securitytoday.com honoring standout product development in the security industry.
